Massage Therapy Services

Our experienced massage therapist, Maggie, draws from and combines many modalities of massage during each individual session. These are different techniques that a masseuse can use to address your problems or pains. With her extensive knowledge and range, Maggie provides the best therapeutic benefits and healing for our clients, no matter the complaint.

Custom

Custom

Custom massages are a combination of different types of massage techniques. Depending on what the client is experiencing for pain or would like in terms of relaxation, multiple modalities can be utilized.

Swedish

Swedish

Swedish massage therapy is a popular massage that focuses on releasing tension throughout the entire body. Everyone can benefit from a Swedish massage because it relaxes and loosens the muscles we use in everyday life. Swedish massage starts with long, smooth strokes that relax soft tissue, followed by kneading to start working the muscle. Then deep, circular movements increase blood flow while breaking down scar tissue. Finally, tapping movements continue to loosen the muscles.

Traditionally, this relaxing massage involves the entire body. All our massages are completely private and open to both male and female clients. Your massage therapist will guide you through the massage, prioritize your comfort, and work with your body to relax you. If you need extra attention in any particular area, let your massage therapist know and they’ll focus on those muscles. We can also incorporate relaxing aromatherapy into the massage at your request by using scented massage oil.

Therapeutic

Therapeutic

Therapeutic massage aims to relieve stress within your body. If you’re experiencing pain, muscle tightness, or an issue with a specific muscle, a therapeutic massage could benefit you. Even day-to-day activity, from sitting at a desk for long stretches to athletic training, slowly builds stress within our bodies. Regularly releasing the tension through therapeutic massage will keep you moving freely and feeling relaxed.

Therapeutic massage includes many different modalities that can alleviate stress, tension, and damage. Your massage therapist will apply different techniques based on your specific complaints. Any trauma, sports, or other background information will be taken into account when deciding how to work with your body.

Sage Rain highly personalizes your therapeutic massage to align with your healing process. Our massage therapists will prioritize your comfort and wellbeing during your private therapeutic massage. Whether you’re an athlete healing from sports trauma or an office worker looking to relieve some shoulder pain, our therapeutic massage can help you!

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is used to treat the musculoskeletal. It’s common for highly active and athletic individuals.

Your massage therapist will use slow, deep hand strokes to cover each muscle fiber that’s damaged. Inflammation will go down as blood flow increases.

This massage style also works for those suffering stiffness in the neck, arms, hips, back or legs. Your health is priority to us at Sage Rain. Let your massage therapist know of any stiffness or hypertension.

Other than relieving muscle tension, deep tissue massage helps those who suffer from high blood pressure. The body is one and each part interconnects with the other. It’s important to make sure your whole body is destressed and relaxed.

After the massage, your muscles will be a bit sore. This sensation should subside in a day. Let your massage therapist know each visit where you are experiencing pain to make sure all pain points are getting targeted.

Relaxing

Relaxing

Relaxing massage therapy is for those who live highly stressful lives. Stress accumulates and shows through the body in many ways. Women can lose their menstrual cycles and can cause erectile dysfunction in men. It’s important to regulate these stressors with frequent massage therapy.

Before your massage, talk with your massage therapist about your lifestyle: work, family, hobbies, activity levels, etc. This will help them understand your stress points to create the most personalized massage for you. Your body might hold tension in certain areas that will need more attention than others.

AROMATHERAPY: Another aspect to relaxing therapy is aromatherapy. This holistic approach relaxes the body with essential oils. Ask your massage therapist for different scents to choose the best for your body. Inhale the relaxation of lavender or improve your mood with hints of chamomile.

Sage Rain is all about making a massage that best suits you. Let your massage therapist know your pain points and where you feel you need more help.

Carpal tunnel

Carpal tunnel

Carpal tunnel massage is unlike the other massages listed. This targets the tendons and nerves in the wrists and hands. Long days typing on the computer can cause strain and in turn create carpal tunnel syndrome.

Carpal tunnel causes heightened nerve pain and hand stiffness. Your massage therapist will target trigger points to make sure you experience the ultimate relief. It’s important to let them know your lifestyle to come up with a plan on how to prevent hand and wrist cramps.

After talking with your massage therapist, they might massage other points on your body that could connect with your wrist and hand pain. Let them know how you sit at your desk, if you do any stretching and your natural posture. All of this has an effect on your overall health.

No one should have to endure this pain! Sage Rain’s mission is to educate you and make your life that much better.

Prenatal

Prenatal

Prenatal massage is the ultimate reliever for your ever-changing body. Growing a human being isn’t easy – that’s why we offer a gentle massage to ease discomfort. This massage is best for pregnant women in their second or third trimester.

Prenatal massage is different from other types of massages. To avoid pressure on your belly, massage therapists will lay you on your side to relieve your back and hips of pressure. Other than relaxing your changing body, prenatal massage has many benefits. It regulates hormones and relieves joint pain, insomnia, swelling in hands and feet, sinus, carpal tunnel, and headaches. These massages are most effective when done regularly.

Let your massage therapist if you experience any discomfort and nausea or have pre-existing conditions. This is common for some moms in the first trimester.

Whether its your first or fourth pregnancy, take care of your body and the life inside of you.

On-Site Chair Massage

On-Site Chair Massage

On-site chair massage is the best treat to give to your office workers. Work life can get stressful. Long hours at a desk can cause back pain, neck strain, carpal tunnel, and bad posture. Sage Rain will travel to you for massages for you and your whole team.

Each massage will vary depending on each individual’s needs. Plan to separate 20-30 minutes per employee massage on the calendar.

This is a great gift for employee appreciation, meeting quarterly goals, or just because! Massage therapy is a lifestyle and the greatest gift someone can receive.

“Work hard, play hard” is the saying. Burnout is real and no one can work hard 24/7. On-site chair massage will make employees more productive and excited to work.

You’ll notice your office culture becoming more positive and relaxing with each on-site chair massage. Sage Rain is here to make each massage as stress-free as possible.

Hot Stone

Hot Stone

Hot stone massage dates back 5,000 years ago in India. It was then called Ayurveda. Stones with smooth surfaces were taken from rivers and were warmed or cooled to relieve muscle aches.

Contrary to popular belief, hot stones are set at the perfect temperature (130 to 145 degrees fahrenheit) to relieve pain without burning your skin. Let your massage therapist know of any discomfort.

Other than its stress relieving benefits, hot stone massage may help with symptoms of cancer and autoimmune diseases.

It’s a style used with deep strokes in multiple motions to reach ultimate relief. Upward, downward, and sideway scoops are just a few of the ways to use stones for muscle tension.

Hot stone massage can be used all over the body, including the face, hands and feet. It all depends where you and your massage therapist decide is best! Treat your body the way it deserves.

Foot Massage

Foot Massage

Our Ultimate Foot Massage sessions deliver complete relaxation and benefits that you can feel with every step you take. Start with either a 10-minute soak and salt scrub massage or a laying-down table foot massage. Hot towels and stones will further relax your feet while your massage therapist loosens the surrounding muscles for 10-15 minutes. Finally, you’ll receive a therapeutic deep tissue massage on your feet, complete with reflexology techniques that will initiate full-body relaxation.

A foot massage can be one of the most relaxing massages you experience. Our feet don’t just carry us; they also pick up our stress along the way. With a therapeutic foot massage, you can reduce foot pain or cramping, improve your circulation, and lessen stiffness. Reflexology techniques can also improve your overall well-being, including reducing headaches, back pain, and more!
