Therapeutic

Therapeutic
Therapeutic massage aims to relieve stress within your body. If you’re experiencing pain, muscle tightness, or an issue with a specific muscle, a therapeutic massage could benefit you. Even day-to-day activity, from sitting at a desk for long stretches to athletic training, slowly builds stress within our bodies. Regularly releasing the tension through therapeutic massage will keep you moving freely and feeling relaxed.
Therapeutic massage includes many different modalities that can alleviate stress, tension, and damage. Your massage therapist will apply different techniques based on your specific complaints. Any trauma, sports, or other background information will be taken into account when deciding how to work with your body.
Sage Rain highly personalizes your therapeutic massage to align with your healing process. Our massage therapists will prioritize your comfort and wellbeing during your private therapeutic massage. Whether you’re an athlete healing from sports trauma or an office worker looking to relieve some shoulder pain, our therapeutic massage can help you!
Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is used to treat the musculoskeletal. It’s common for highly active and athletic individuals.
Your massage therapist will use slow, deep hand strokes to cover each muscle fiber that’s damaged. Inflammation will go down as blood flow increases.
This massage style also works for those suffering stiffness in the neck, arms, hips, back or legs. Your health is priority to us at Sage Rain. Let your massage therapist know of any stiffness or hypertension.
Other than relieving muscle tension, deep tissue massage helps those who suffer from high blood pressure. The body is one and each part interconnects with the other. It’s important to make sure your whole body is destressed and relaxed.
After the massage, your muscles will be a bit sore. This sensation should subside in a day. Let your massage therapist know each visit where you are experiencing pain to make sure all pain points are getting targeted.
Relaxing

Relaxing
Before your massage, talk with your massage therapist about your lifestyle: work, family, hobbies, activity levels, etc. This will help them understand your stress points to create the most personalized massage for you. Your body might hold tension in certain areas that will need more attention than others.
AROMATHERAPY: Another aspect to relaxing therapy is aromatherapy. This holistic approach relaxes the body with essential oils. Ask your massage therapist for different scents to choose the best for your body. Inhale the relaxation of lavender or improve your mood with hints of chamomile.
Sage Rain is all about making a massage that best suits you. Let your massage therapist know your pain points and where you feel you need more help.
Carpal tunnel

Carpal tunnel
Carpal tunnel massage is unlike the other massages listed. This targets the tendons and nerves in the wrists and hands. Long days typing on the computer can cause strain and in turn create carpal tunnel syndrome.
Carpal tunnel causes heightened nerve pain and hand stiffness. Your massage therapist will target trigger points to make sure you experience the ultimate relief. It’s important to let them know your lifestyle to come up with a plan on how to prevent hand and wrist cramps.
After talking with your massage therapist, they might massage other points on your body that could connect with your wrist and hand pain. Let them know how you sit at your desk, if you do any stretching and your natural posture. All of this has an effect on your overall health.
No one should have to endure this pain! Sage Rain’s mission is to educate you and make your life that much better.
Prenatal

Prenatal
Prenatal massage is different from other types of massages. To avoid pressure on your belly, massage therapists will lay you on your side to relieve your back and hips of pressure. Other than relaxing your changing body, prenatal massage has many benefits. It regulates hormones and relieves joint pain, insomnia, swelling in hands and feet, sinus, carpal tunnel, and headaches. These massages are most effective when done regularly.
